Must Haves For New Parents Seeking A Home: Spacious Baby Room
If you’re a new parent and you’re looking for a new home, you may wish to learn more about why you need a spacious baby room. While still yet small, your new bundle of joy is going to come with lots of stuff.
This stuff isn’t born from the womb, it’s typically given to new parents by well-meaning grandparents, friends, family and more. Strangers will even get on this bandwagon of stuff giving and add to the compilation of more stuff.
Before you know it, you’re inundated with so much stuff that you don’t know what to do with it. You’re loathed to toss it out or give it away as you may be planning on more children.
Thus, you need plenty of space to place all of this stuff without overstuffing your new place. A large baby area is ideal. Whether it be their bedroom, a nursery or another area of the house, you need to have space for the baby swing, cradle, crib, twin bed (so mom can rest if baby needs her in the same room) and so on.
Don’t forget all of the baby clothes and diapers that you’re going to be going through. You’ll want to have plenty of space to store all of this. A large walk-in closet is nice and will keep the room from looking too cluttered.
Focus on what all you have and placing it all in and around your home so that it is easily accessible yet your home doesn’t appear too cluttered.

You may have to cull some of it to an attic or garage or if you have duplicates you may wish to sell it at a yard sale, trade it in for something you need or give it to a needy friend or relative.
However, keep in mind that you will likely use most of it so be discerning in what you do and don’t give away. Choose a home based on the fact that you may have more children, and the child that you do have is going to grow up and become mobile so you’ll want plenty of space for all of this to take place.
Shop around and do your homework and don’t just settle for the first house that you look at. Sit down and decide what you want in a home. Write down what you simply can’t live without and what you absolutely must have on your list.
You’ll be amazed at how your list shapes up. First-time parents especially wonder where they accumulated so much stuff. How did they ever live without all of it? Where did it all come from? You can keep track of all things by using a baby memory book by gLEE baby
It’s okay to tell friends and family that you don’t need anything more than some diapers. You know you’ll go through those fast. However, when it comes to other items, you may not need them so don’t be afraid to speak up if they offer to buy something for the new baby.
